Metromonologues

Metromonologues

Sitting on the metro I sometimes stop thinking about the people around me as real human beings.

Allthough they are really close, they are so far away. It is almost like watching an action movie where the only thing that matters is the protagonist's well being and you blindly accept that the B-characters' lives are of less importance. They are just sitting there, without saying anything or expressing any emotions, almost like extras in a reality which take place inside my head.

This distance that can occur in the middle of packed human crowds somehow frightens me. By making this docuseries I wanted to close the gap between the physical closeness and the psychological remoteness that exist simultaneously inside a metro car.

I wanted to show that a metro car is indeed a magical box filled with dreams, hopes, fears and stories.
